Citi names new EMEA technology head

Citibank has appointed of Anne-Maree Tassell to the role of head of operations and technology for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
She will transition from her current role as head of operations and technology in Australia and New Zealand and start in her new role in London on 1 October.
Tassell will report directly to Stuart Riley, head of operations and technology, with matrix reporting to David Livingstone, EMEA chief executive, and Jagdish Rao, head of enterprise infrastructure. She will join the EMEA Operating Committee, the UK Executive Committee, and will also assume the senior manager responsibilities for operations and technology in the UK, subject to regulatory approval.
She will replace Deepak Jain, who is moving to a new role internally.
The role will give her responsibility for cross-product and geography oversight and delivery, as well as leading the assessment and delivery of operational resilience.
Tassell worked at Schroders Australia from 1995 until it merged with Salomon Smith Barney Australia in 2000. She continued her career with Citigroup Global Markets in Sydney until she transferred with global markets to Hong Kong from 2006 to 2014.
In 2014, she returned to Sydney and assumed a cross-franchise role providing operations and technology leadership for multiple products, shared services and infrastructure support for Australia and New Zealand, including delivering critical projects.
