The Awards Gala Dinner
The Awards
ceremony - hosted by Hugh Dennis - was a great success.
Many thanks to all involved, and see you at 2012's Awards!
Hugh burst onto the comedy circuit after working as a brand
manager for Unilever. His talent for impressions saw him provide voices
for cult comedy Spitting Image, and then saw him appear as a regular guest
comic on Canned Carrott, along with Steve Punt.
Together, Hugh and Steve formed part of the Mary Whitehouse Experience,
a radio show that later became a TV series. They continued to work together
for radio for over a decade, on shows including Punt and Dennis, It's
Been a Bad Week and The Now Show.
Hugh captains a team on TV's Mock the Week, a topical celebrity panel
game show. He starred in BBC series My Hero, and alongside Steve Punt
in The Imaginatively Titled Punt & Dennis Show. He
has had cameos in satirical comedy Brass Eye.
Hugh stars in hit TV show Outnumbered, a semiimprovised
sitcom, and presents Fast and Loose, a BBC improvised sketch show.
