Money app Yolt hits 100k user milestone

ING-owned money app Yolt has reached 100,000 registered users in less than six months of operating in open beta in the UK.
Yolt allows users to view all of their financial accounts and credit cards in one place. It also offers other features such as setting budgets, tagging purchases and comparing the best options for international money transfers.
It has been a busy launch period for the new app, which added a series of updates back in September, including fingerprint login for Android users and a partnership with money transfer comparison platform Moneytis.
Yolt also announced a tie-up with UK digital challenger bank Starling last month, which allows customers to view their Starling account details and transactions alongside their other bank accounts.
Starling is the first mobile-only bank to integrate with Yolt, and the smart money app is one of the early partners authorised to access Starling’s customer data via their PSD2-compliant open API.
Frank Jan Risseeuw, the CEO of Yolt, said: “News of our registered app users reaching 100,000 is a fantastic milestone for Yolt and ING, and we are really pleased we have reached this number ahead of time. We’ve made it this far with the feedback and suggestions of our brilliant community – and with the arrival of Open Banking in 2018, we’re looking forward to giving our users even more choice and control over their finances.”
