Union First Market Bank in mobile push

US-based Union First Market Bank has launched three mobile banking offerings. iPhone customers can now download an m-banking app. Whilst online banking customers with access to mobile web browsers can visit m.bankatunion.com to access their account information. Customers who want to bank via text messaging can also set up this service.

"Mobile banking is no longer an exclusive product from large national or regional banks," says G. William Beale, CEO at Union First Market Bankshares. “We now offer consumers the tools to bank when, where and how they want. We're able to roll-out new products and keep the cost of banking low because of our large branch footprint and financial strength. Union remains one of the strongest banks in Virginia because it has continued to follow two key principles of community banking: take the time necessary to know your customers and make loans within your geographic footprint.”
