SQS secures UBS contract

SQS Software Quality Systems is to supply a range of software testing and quality assurance activities for UBS. The two companies have signed a contract for an initial term of two and a half years.

SQS will be responsible for software testing specific projects at UBS, as well as additional IT quality assurance activities. As part of the contract, it will also provide on demand testing resources to the Swiss bank as required. All quality assurance activities will be carried out by SQS at UBS’ offices in Zurich. The onsite testing team will be supported by specialists from the company’s nearshore and offshore testing centres in Görlitz (Germany), Cairo and India. As part of the agreement, SQS will also take on 23 IT specialists from UBS.

“This contract demonstrates how we provide the client with a customised full service through its nearshore and offshore testing centres; while also ensuring that time, cost, quality and flexibility criteria are all met,” says Daniel Spirig, managing director at SQS Switzerland. “As well as numerous projects for financial service providers, we have been successful with this approach in other industries too.”
