International provider of IT solutions and services GFT Group and banking software provider Temenos have signed a partnership agreement to enhance the sales, services and delivery capabilities of Temenos’ solutions within Europe, with a focus on Spain, Portugal, the UK and Germany.

The agreement will see GFT provide project management and integration and testing services for Temenos’ core banking solution, Temenos T24, the internet banking solution ARC Internet and Temenos’ new mobile banking solution, ARC Mobile.

Through the partnership, GFT’s technological expertise in the financial services sector and Temenos’ solutions and methodologies will be combined to provide existing and prospective clients with a delivery platform and access to skills and resources. The new alliance also allows Temenos to leverage GFT’s data migration, testing and project management expertise to support Temenos’ existing European client base. Front office technologies experience will come from GFT.

Carlos Eres, managing director of GFT Spain, commented: “The partnership with Temenos is a significant step in a strategic growth area for GFT. More and more of our clients are asking for package implementation services on top of bespoke development work.”

Mike Head, global alliances director, Temenos, added: “As such a fast growing organisation, Temenos’ partner programme forms the foundation for us to successfully manage a vast number of banking system implementations across the globe. GFT’s sound deliver experience across Europe adds a significant strand to our partner programme which will enable us to offer our clients in this region superior business management and project delivery skills in both core systems and front office application delivery, as well as develop new sales opportunities for Temenos. GFT’s international standing offers the potential to geographically extend the relationship moving forward.”

The two organisations have previously collaborated on T24 implementations for leading financial institutions in Europe.
