HSBC Fast Balance launches on Android

HSBC's Fast Balance app is now available for Android smartphones. This follows on from an iPhone version, which was unveiled in April. The app enables customers to obtain details of their current account balance and last six transactions.

Developed by Monitise, which has a three year development deal with HSBC, it also lets customers top up their pre-paid mobile phones. User feedback, however, has been far from enthusiastic. The app currently has an average rating of 2.8 stars (out of five) on Google Play with 166 people giving it one star status and criticising its limited functionality.
