Barclays unveils Scan and Send for brokers

Barclays has launched its new Scan and Send system, aimed at speeding up the mortgage application process.

This allows mortgage brokers to electronically submit documents. David Finlay, managing director for intermediaries at Barclays, says: “Continuing to improve brokers’ experience with Barclays is our top priority and having listened to their feedback we believe that our investment in the new Scan and Send technology will improve the quality of applications and make the application process even smoother for brokers and their clients. It will also make communication easier between brokers and their named, dedicated underwriters.”

Scan and Send will be rolled-out to all registered brokers over the next five weeks. It follows the introduction in 2012 of named, dedicated underwriters, a revamped intermediary website and a new affordability calculator, with further changes planned over the coming months.
