Bank Machine has launched a Text2Win competition where customers can win cash by texting in answers to general knowledge questions posed on ATM screens.

Ron Delnevo, managing director at Bank Machine, says: “This latest innovation is the first of its kind in the UK. The mechanic is very straightforward, with the questions based on multiple choice. Any customer therefore has a good opportunity to win an attractive prize.”

The competition has been rolled out to around 1,000 cash machines. Winners are selected on a monthly basis. Delnevo comments: “We really wanted to find a way to give something back to our loyal customers, as well as a means of setting our machines apart from our competitors. The level of interest suggests it has certainly worked on both counts. We are already planning a number of further initiatives which will bring a smile to the faces of people using our ATMs.”
