Geoff Prudence has an engineering background and experience in building maintenance, operations, facilities management strategy and implementation, working in both private and public sector organisations. He is Chairman of CIBSE Facilities Management Group, and now also chairs the BIFM Data Centre.

Andrew is a Senior Director within the Global Corporate Services team based in London. He is head of the EMEA Technology Practice Group.

Andrew is recognised as one of Europe’s leading advisors to the data centre and telecommunications industry and also benefits from in-depth knowledge of all aspects of technical real estate including corporate data centre dynamics.

Andrew is also responsible for the unique research provided by CB Richard Ellis into the Global Carrier Neutral Data Centre market and is a regular speaker at conferences including Data Centre Dynamics, Broad Group and Gartner.


Andrew Atkins, Euroclear

Head of Business Resilience, Euroclear  

Andy Atkins is Head of Group Resilience, responsible for the delivery of business continuity at Euroclear.

Andy was previously head of Core System Engineering at CRESTCo (now Euroclear UK & Ireland), where he was responsible for operations and performance management. Among his achievements was leading a benchmarking project at the Hewlett Packard high performance centre, where CREST processing system applications were tested to manage up to 1 million transactions per day.

Before joining CRESTCo in 1996, Andy worked for Tandem, where he was responsible for the delivery of professional services in the UK and Europe.


David Cuthberson, Square Mile Systems

David Cuthbertson is the Managing Director of Square Mile Systems, a UK based company specialising in data centre management techniques and supporting systems.

Originally a technical communications specialist , David’s career developed as he set up his first IT services business in 1989, which was sold together with a second in 2003. Since then he has been developing and
delivering training courses that cover best practices in technical room management.

David also works on the development of AssetGen - data centre software that documents the physical and service (ITIL) aspects of technical infrastructure. Industry roles have included BCS SMSG (Service Management Specialist Group) – Chairman. National Outsourcing Association – Director.

He is also a regular guest speaker at events run by the BCS, BCS-CMSG, ITSMF, IOD, UKCMG, BICSI, Service Desk Show, FAST.


Sean Daly, CLS Services

Sean joined CLS in August 2000 after 26 years in a wide range of systems and technical roles. Prior to CLS, Sean spent 10 years at Barclays Bank, where he held the position of Senior Executive, Group Programmes Director. While at Barclays, Sean was responsible for initiating, gaining funding for and completing the Year 2000 project.

Prior to Barclays, Sean was Assistant Director at Morgan Grenfell and Product Production Manager at Chase Manhattan Bank.

Ashley Davis is a Managing Director with JPMorgan Chase; he is responsible for their Global Datacenter strategy, technology sustainability program and Corporate HQ technology design. Ashley joined JPMC in 2005. Prior Ashley was MD with CS Technology in EMEA, a specialist consulting business in mission critical design. Prior Ashley held senior management positions with Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley. Ashley was awarded a MSc in 2005 from Reading University in Intelligent Building design & operation.



Andrew Gibson, Raritan

Andrew Gibson has worked for Raritan since Spring 2003 when he was responsible for setting up Raritan’s first London office and establishing a team that has grown the UK business five-fold since then.

Following Raritan’s development of a new generation of Intelligent Power Technologies in 2007, Andrew has taken on the responsibility for developing Raritan's European power business. Andrew has worked on numerous projects providing business and security reviews on the implementation of Raritan's IP power strips and IP-based secure access technologies. Industry sectors covered include finance, telecoms, legal and oil & gas.

Prior to Raritan, Andrew had more than 15 years experience in the IT industry working in automating TV and Radio Newsrooms, computerising production of film and TV, early SAN implementations for film production and some of the first KVM over IP installations in the UK. Andrew holds a BSc from London University.


Paul Saville-King, Norland Managed Servies

Paul joined Norland Managed Services in 2002 and in May 2006 was appointed to the board as Divisional Managing Director – Critical Engineering Services.

Paul holds an MBA with distinction from Ashridge Business School, is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and a member of the BIFM. As well as his MBA, Paul has an HNC in Business & Finance and an HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Paul championed the creation of the Norland Critical Engineering Services Division and the establishment of the unique CERM™ methodology and the CERMView™ enterprise risk portal.

Prior to joining Norland, Paul worked for a global blue chip controls company for 16 years, culminating in general management of a key subsidiary acquisition.
Phil Dodsworth, HP

UK&I Data Centre Solutions Director.

UK&I Data Centre Solutions Director, Hewlett-Packard Company Phil Dodsworth is Director of the Enterprise Data Centre Solutions business in the UK. In this role, Phil is responsible for all of HP’s Data Centre capabilities, solutions and Go To Market strategies.

Phil has been at HP over 20 years and prior to assuming his current role was the Global Client Business Manager for a major retail institution. Phil has a wealth of experience in the IT industry covering most aspects of Enterprise IT infrastructure, services and support in High Availability Mission Critical environments.


Maitland Hyslop, Onyx GroupMaitland Hyslop, speaker at Data Centre Excellence

Maitland Hyslop started his career in the IT sector 15 years ago, and has combined commercial and academic approaches to the subject. He has joined Onyx Group to use this experience to help the Group achieve its goals. Maitland started his career as an officer in the British Army, before moving on to hold a variety of technical, business and public sector posts.

Maitland is a graduate, post-graduate and former tutor at Durham University, a graduate of Huddersfield University Business School and Manchester University and a former Research Fellow in Telecommunications Resilience at Northumbria University. He is a founder member of the Dartmouth College (USA) and Purdue University (USA) Critical Information Infrastructure Team, advising the US government on homeland security. He is also an independent adviser to the European Network Information and Security Agency.

Maitland joined Onyx Group from Ross and Cromarty Enterprise in Scotland, where he was chief executive. Before that he worked at the European Telecommunications Resilience and Recovery Association as a director and spent four years as Head of Knowledge, Information and ICT at One North East. He is also affiliated to the Disaster and Development Centre at the University of Northumbria.


Geoff Donson, Group Security Manager, Telecity Group

Geoff Donson joined Telecity Group in 2007 as Group Security Manager, where he applies his expert knowledge of cyber crime to oversee the security strategy for the group.

Donson spent over 27 years working for the Metropolitan Police, within various divisions inclusing the Serious and Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), the National Hi-TEch Crime Unit, the National Crime Squad, and the Computer Crime Unit. During these years he gained a specialist insight into current and emerging computer security threats, and has unrivalled experience of how to protect critical infrastructure and applications againist malicious attack.

Donson's responsibliities at Telecity Group include ensuring the Group has visibility of the latest phyiscal and electronic threats, and putting adequate measures into place to protect the Group's assets. Donson also advises Telecity Group customers on their security strategies and help them to identify the best security products.

In addition to working with Telecity Group, Donson is a part-time lecturer on the MSc Information Security and MSc Computer Forensics at Westminster University. He is a member of the Royal Signals Reserve specialising in Information Assurance.
