The ninth annual FST Awards 2009 will be held on 26 March 2009 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, in Bayswater, London. This growing event attracted 550 guests last year from all sectors of the financial services industry. RBS, NAG and Lloyds TSB sent in entries from their retail banking operations, with Citi and Credit Suisse highlighting wholesale banking IT projects. In the insurance space, there was Brit and Standard Life, alongside building societies, such as Britannia, Nationwide, Newcastle & Nottingham.
The FST Awards aim to recognise excellence and innovation in the field of information technology within the UK and European financial sector. These prestigious awards are designed to emphasise the importance of IT as a key driver in business and to acknowledge and reward IT specialists working within the sector. The primary criteria for judging is the delivery of definable and significant business benefits, innovation and originality of application. Project management issues, such as the scale and delivery on time and within budget, will also be taken into account.
FST will only accept nominations concerning retail banks, wholesale banks, insurance companies or other financial service providers. We may receive nominations from anyone who has responsibility for information technology management or strategy within a financial institution or from service suppliers, press officers, PRs or consultants, representing them. All shortlisted entries will be listed under the name of the financial institution, with any partners included in the 50-word project summary.
