JUDGING PROCESS & JUDGES

The entries deadline is 4 December 2009

Terms and entry criteria:

1.
Ensure that all relevant arguments are clearly stated in the 1,000 word essay. Additional supporting material, particularly facts and figures in the form of appendices, is welcome as long as it is pertinent and presented in a concise manner – the more information the judges have to hand, the better prepared they will be to decide on a winner

2. A brief summary of the project’s aims and results should be included at the beginning of the submission. This one sentence summary (50 words max) will be used to describe the entry if it is shortlisted

3. Candidates should pay careful attention to the nomination criteria as laid out in this document. See the link HERE for a previous winning submission, which can be used as a style guide

4. Please send nominations on the official entry form provided HERE. Please ensure you supply all details as required on the entry form. It is important to include the postal address of the nominated companies and a contact telephone number, email and company logo. This must be the financial institution’s logo, not a vendor or PR agency logo

5. Nominations should be for projects launched or completed between 1 January 2009 and 20 January 2010

6. Projects may be entered for more than one category (up to a maximum of three)

7. Any employee from a financial service provider may nominate his/her own information technology manager for the outstanding individual category. Nomination statements must be endorsed by a colleague, and will be kept in the strictest confidence. The 1,000 word submission should outline the recent career history of the individual and explain why this candidate would be a deserving winner of this award

8. Where candidates nominate themselves, the nomination should be sponsored by two individuals familiar with the candidate’s work on a day-to-day basis. Again, this applies to the outstanding individual category.
